6 weird things about me

Sarah said we could consider ourselves tagged!
Now, I know we all have funny little quirks, and I want to find out about yours! Consider yourself tagged if you feel the urge to reveal a few things.

So here we go: 6 weird things about me. With pictures, for your viewing pleasure.

1. I hate eggs. Except in french toast, when they don't taste eggy.
2. I count in my head. Now, this used to worry me a little, but then I started knitting lace, where you have to count *all the time*. Phew!

3. I never get weird Google searches. Seriously, I just looked, and people find me by searching for "tres chic veronique", "treschicveronique" and "veronique". Isn't that weird?

4. I severed the tip of my left index finger when I was 5 years old. You remember when you were little and your mother told you to *not* to put your hands in the doorway because the door might slam on it? Well, I'm living proof that your mother was right. (Just in case you're worried: after a little trip to the OR, I was fine. Somewhat traumatized, and mad that my mother didn't pick up the tip for the surgeons to sew back on, but fine).
(These are severed finger cookies by the way. Just FYI).

5. I love to eat organ meats. It's all the non-muscle-y meat, like tripe, tongue etc. Americans are so squeamish and boring when it comes to food!
Here's a meal I had in France during my last vacation there:
miam!

6. I learned to speak english because of "The Wizard of Oz". The movie was playing on TV, in english with subtitles, which my (american) mother was very excited about. Not only did I not know english, but I was 5 years old and didn't know how to read! My mother had to read the french subtitles to me. She decided then that she would teach me english. I have absolutely no recollection of either the movie or the lessons that ensued, but they must've worked! There. How weird was that?
